EDITLife

EDITLife is a comprehensive, web-based clinical workflow and data-management system developed by MSA for transplant programs

It supports both cell therapy (e.g. blood & marrow transplant, CAR-T) and solid-organ transplant workflows — from initial referral, donor/recipient selection, through lab processing and post-transplant follow-up.

Designed to complement (not replace) a hospital’s existing EHR by providing transplant-specific data capture, workflow automation, and a unified, patient-centric view across clinic, lab, and transplant teams.

EDITLife aims to streamline and digitize the complex data and processes involved in transplantation and cell therapy programs, improving efficiency, safety, compliance, and communication.

Benefits

Improved Communication & Collaboration

By centralizing donor, recipient, product, lab, and clinical data in one system accessible across teams (clinic, lab, EHR interfaces), EDITLife reduces information silos and ensures everyone has up-to-date data — supporting better, coordinated care.

Regulatory Compliance and Audit-Readiness

EDITLife automates regulatory form completion and supports audit and reporting requirements (e.g. for organizations or registries such as CIBMTR or UNOS), helping centers stay survey-ready at all times.

Increased Patient Safety & Data Integrity

Because it reduces or eliminates duplicate manual data entry and enables real-time sharing, there’s less risk of data-entry errors. That improves overall patient safety, especially in complex workflows such as transplants or cell therapy.

Time & Workflow Efficiency Through Automation

Automating tasks — checklists, patient lists, product tracking, lab scheduling, label generation, and report generation — frees up staff time. That lets clinicians and lab personnel focus more on patient care rather than repetitive admin/data tasks.

Flexibility & Customization to Fit Your Center’s Needs

EDITLife is highly configurable: centers can tailor workflows, labels, default options, dropdowns, alert parameters, dashboards, and more — whether adult or pediatric, small or large, cell therapy only or with solid-organ transplant, etc.

Features

By complementing a hospital’s EHR rather than replacing it, EDITLife streamlines complex processes, supports safer decision-making, and strengthens coordination across every stage of the transplant journey.

Features

Full Integration across Clinic, Lab, and EHR

EDITLife connects cell therapy clinics, stem cell processing labs (via its module LABHero), and hospital EHRs — enabling a seamless data flow across all phases of transplant/cell therapy cases.

Patient-Centric Interface & Unified Data View

Unlike standard encounter-centric EHRs, EDITLife offers a patient-centric view: donor/recipient comparisons, historical procedures, lab results, product tracking — all on a single screen.

Automated Reporting, Documentation & Regulatory Workflow

The software can auto-generate reports, letters, labels, regulatory forms (for CIBMTR/UNOS), and helps automate tasks like labelling, form submission, and documentation — saving time and reducing errors.

Customizable Dashboards, Checklists and Task Lists

Users can configure dashboards, patient/product lists, task checklists, alerts, and default field values — making the system adapt to a center’s particular workflows, size, and patient population.

Ad-Hoc Reporting & Analytics Tools

EDITLife includes a drag-and-drop reporting module: even non-IT staff can build, store, publish, and share custom on-demand reports. It also supports more advanced analytics (e.g. survival analyses) using transplant-specific data not captured in general EHRs.
