MSA Forms Alliance With Biomed Company

Pittsburgh-based Management Science Associates Inc. and a California company plan to work together to develop products and services for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and health care industries.

As part of the alliance, MSA and ProSanos Corp., a biomedical informatics company based in La Jolla, have created a data center to address compliance issues associated with security and data integrity standards required by the biomedical community.

The companies will integrate genetic information into a general database to provide insights into the causes, prevention and treatment of a variety of diseases that have previously resisted analysis.

Founded in 1963 as a marketing research firm, MSA's work now includes applying business research analysis in medical fields.

ProSanos uses clinically developed disease models to analyze large amounts of clinical, genomic and biological information.
